We were able to plan ahead and schedule a few classes in advance. Hopefully this gives our out-of-town customers a chance to plan ahead and attend. All of these events are free but you need to register via email. If you can't make it, we always do our best to stream our events on Facebook Live so you can watch online during or after the class.

 

 

Intro to Home Coffee Roasting

Learn how to roast your own coffee with an electric popcorn popper.

Join us on Friday, April 26th at 1pm for a fun and informal coffee roasting class. We'll show you how easy it is to roast delicious coffee at home with just a few household items and an electric popcorn popper. These inexpensive, little appliances are the best machines for beginner roasters because they are fun to use and allow you to experience the roast process with all of all your senses. We will cover the basics of pulling a good shot, the mythical “espresso roast level” and over-extraction vs. under-extraction. How to brew better coffee at home.

Brewing coffee at home is the final step in making your cup a delicious one. Join us at our warehouse on July 26th for a coffee brewing crash course, where we will cover brewing basics and discuss how to choose the right brew method for you. We will go into detail about ratios, water quality, grind size, extraction time, and filter types. Proper brewing equipment, achieving specific qualities in your coffee and how your beans affect your brew will also be on the checklist of topics to cover. This is a free event.
